Imagine that you have had a string of great days and you have achieved so many of your goals and then you have a bad day. Everything in your life just falls apart and nothing goes right. Well, if you have had the success bouncing back could be easier and failure doesn’t become the new normal. But imagine someone just getting started and every day is bad and it doesn’t look like things are going to get better. Should the bad days deter them from chasing their dreams? It shouldn’t because chances are those days of working hard will lead to even better days.
But, you shouldn’t you should be hard on yourself if you are ill or losing capabilities to get as much done or to work as hard. Some days we might be ill, or if we are aging our bodies don’t cooperate as they used to. There is also our mental state to consider, like if you have depression for example, getting out of bed would be a struggle. It’s okay if you can’t do what you want your best to be, because you give your best that you can in your given circumstances.
If you are hard on yourself when your best is not as you want it to be it actually makes it harder to work hard. You also have to remember that your best may not be as good as someone else’s best. The thing is the person that you should compare yourself to is you. But, take into account your circumstance. It’s okay if your best doesn’t do it, there are days when you get everything right and still lose. It is a part of life. Live, and don’t let those days drag you down!
