Yes, you read the title right, feminism is for men too! Hopefully you can see what this is all about. You see we are all humans made up of generally speaking, two sexes. Male and female, even though it is generally more fluid than that to simplify we will go with the basics. The stereotype is that a man is a cold unfeeling beast while a woman is an emotional wreck and all over the place. In reality this is not true at all. Another thing is that there are some major double standards in gender roles, men get dumped on for doing what women are supposed to do and vice versa.
Western society has been teaching us that a man has to be unfeeling and that leads to not being able to sort through his life and emotions. That is a recipe for disaster, my friends. On one had a man not knowing how to handle his own feelings is likely going to go through a depression, become bipolar, or become down right violent. Either way this is not a pleasant outcome for anyone. Evidence has shown that many mass killers in our society never really got the chance to learn how to sort through their own issues. If we keep ignoring that stuff because it is not what men are “supposed to do” then we are only going to create more sociopaths.
One of the most irksome things that bothers teenagers these days is the double standard of sexuality. If a teen boy has sex he is a stud, while a girl is slut shammed. Too often this ends in a suicide when a girl has been tormented. This is one of those times when a boy should man up and say, “she’s a stud too!”
If a woman were to dress in a man’s clothing then no one would judge her. But, if a man were to go out in a woman’s clothing then he would be degraded and called names. Is it degrading to be a woman? Women are great people and we shouldn’t degrade them or anyone. Regardless of how one dresses we should respect their life choices by minding our own business.
Is feminism for men too? Absolutely, we become better people when we can embrace our feminine side as we embrace our masculine side. While we are one race, human, we are two sexes and if you were born or choose to identify as a man or a woman it shouldn’t matter. We should all take care of each other, we should all be feminist.
